Seek God

I love this scripture. Here's the whole thing:

But before ye seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God.
And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches, if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to do good—to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted.

I have found that when I focus on seeking God and serving those around me I find so many areas of my life that I am abundantly rich in!

His Grace Is Sufficient

His grace is sufficient. Sufficient to save. Sufficient to perfect. Sufficient to change. Sufficient to enable. Sufficient to comfort, to heal, to calm. It is sufficient, we just need to love Him. With all our might, mind, and strength.

Towards Your Promised Land

Have you ever searched for your promised land and felt like maybe it just wasn't out there? I have. More than once. But the most prominent experience was when I was in search of building my family, and it wasn't happening. At least not how I planned on it happening, or when. Infertility was a vast wilderness. And when we first embarked on our journey I felt so lost. Until I finally relinquished my plan and chose to follow the light God offered. He was our guiding light, and he prepared the way for us, to not only find the promised land of our beautiful family, but our extended adopted birth families as well.

We Are Free To Choose

I think too often we view God's commandments as a list of rules that control our behavior. But really, commandments are just a guide to show us how to be happy and free, how to become like Him and receive His glory. He wants us to be happy, but because of His perfect love for us, He lets us choose.

God Gives Power and Love

I am so grateful for the power and love and peace that are mine through God! I am also very grateful to live in a country where I have the freedom to worship that same God as I choose. For all my freedoms. And for those who have fought to preserve them, and to provide a country where I can feel safe.

Believe In God

I have had too many experiences with deity, too many prayers answered, witnessed and received too many miracles to not believe. I am so grateful to know I have a loving Heavenly Father that is all wise, all powerful, and in every way perfect, and loves me completely, and is an active participant in my life!
